Zócalo Mexico is inspired by impressions I have from Mexico. The zócalo is a stage that you will find in the center of most Mexican cities. When standing there you will sometimes hear blending sounds of music from more bands at the same time, what creates a polyfoni.
Written for marimba and brass ensemble.The marimba player is playing six mallets in some parts.
